Book Writer's Club Post Redux

Posted Tuesday, January 22, 9:49AM

Hello All! Our original thread seems to have dropped off of Crowdvine. Last I recall, we had discussed doing a "pub talk" after the Saturday night reception.

As Dan Saffer just announced that there will be an Adaptive Path-hosted after-party at the same time, how about Sunday lunch? That way, no one has to make a tough choice about where to go.

Also, if you posted on the previous post, do so again here. It would be great to get a tally of who's still on for the Book Writer's meetup.

Cheers,
Cindy

I'm good for Sunday lunch to talk about books. Definitely can't miss the AP AP!

I'm interested for sure, but I can't guarantee making it. I'm giving a presentation shortly after lunch and might need the lunch hour for prep. I'll do my best to be there though.

Sunday lunch sounds good. Thanks again for having room for us all.

I'm in.

I'm leaving Sunday morning before lunch. But I'm happy for us to waylay one another in the halls and pubs and talk about this topic.

On that point: I'm involved peripherally with Lou Rosenfeld's venture, Rosenfeld Media. If you have an idea that might fit his model, I'm happy to talk with you about it and make an introduction to Lou.

Wait, that can't be right. I think I need to adjust my flight, or I'll miss a full day of conference!

where will lunch be? and is this only for people who are actually writing books, or is it a discussion about some different books that are good for learning Interactive Design?

Hi Ashey...it's actually a discussion for people who are planning to write a book, in the middle of writing a book or have written a book. If you fall into one of those categories, please join. The idea evolved around getting advice, war stories, and tips on "how to get it written" for those of us who dare to venture down this path. Hope that helps. A location hasn't been set yet, but will be soon.

Count me in. Sunday lunch sounds like a good time.

I can also do the sunday lunch. thanks,

Hey everybody,

If you're keeping in touch with this post, I wanted to let you know that I just contacted Dave M about where we could meet and he recommends that we try for Saturday lunch, rather than Sunday. On that day there'll be box lunch and so it will be easier for us to grab and head to an adjacent room. I hope this works for everyone. I'll try to send personal mails to everyone on this post.

Also, if you remember anyone who was on the previous post, let me know and I'll make sure that they get the information as well...

Thanks! I look forward to meeting everyone...

Hi Gang of writers.
I'm thinking that we can get our bag lunches and then go up to the Sheraton. If we are small enough we have the "board room", or we can just take over either the restaurant or the bar. I've talked to management about that possibility already.

Thanx!
