I am seeking a mid to senior-level interaction designer with a good technical foundation to join my team in the San Francisco location of the newly formed Cisco Media Solutions Group.

If you are smart, interested in all aspects of product development (visual and interaction design, technical, business), and enjoy working in small, multi-disciplinary, collaborative teams, this is the opportunity for you.

The Cisco Media Solutions Group is building out an end-to-end platform solution that will fundamentally change the entertainment experience for consumers. We are building an ecosystem where media-content owners are better able to interact with their audiences and the audience members are able to interact with one another.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ensuring that our products are ridiculously easy to use
- Leading user-centered, iterative design and testing processes
- Actively participating in brainstorming with the product and engineering team

REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of design experience
- Passion for design and users
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to incorporate business and technical requirements as design parameters
- Experience building both consumer internet and enterprise software applications
- Experience taking a project from concept to completion
- Strong data visualization skills
- Interest in the power and potential of social networks
- You are generally pretty chill
- Ability to present to customers

DESIRABLE SKILLS
- BS, MS in HCI, Industrial Design, or related fields.
- Coursework/Experience in computer science, math, human computer interaction, or biology
- Familiarity with Windows and Macintosh Human Interface Guidelines
- Experience with any of the following: visual design, web service APIs, internet monetization models, building highly scalable web applications, pushing the limits of existing web technologies, discrete math.
