About: Dane is currently a User Experience Designer for Microsoft Surface (for over 4 years now) conceiving new product opportunities, software experiences, and interaction models to help define the new Surface Computing product category. He specializes in concept design, interaction design and visual design.

Prior experience includes educational/training software design for an Army Nat'l Gaurd hybrid team that created and deployed some of the first, online interactive field training and simulations for U.S. soldiers. Other experience includes branding & identity design, promotional design for print, web, and multimedia applications.

Dane began his career in visual communications doing primarily illustration and graphic design for the commercial and advertising industries.

I'd like to connect with other interaction designers that deal with unconventional user needs and interaction models.
